  • Day 2San Cristóbal / Kicker Rock / Baquerizo MorenoEmbark ShipSaturday, Oct 24, 2026

Welcome to Galápagos! Fly to Baquerizo Moreno, capital of the Galápagos province, in the center of the islands, a little world unto itself in the Tropical Pacific. Join fellow Olivians on the observation deck for a welcome cocktail as the captain circumnavigates Kicker Rock, an iconic eroded tuff cone standing just offshore. We are at anchor for the evening. (B/L/D)

Although the exact routing and islands visited depends on the National Park Service, we may visit the following islands.

  • Day 3Rábida Island / Puerto Egas, SantiagoSunday, Oct 25, 2026

Land on a red sand beach on this volcanically varied island, where we explore inland. We may see flamingos feeding in a brackish lagoon and clownish brown pelicans entertain from their nests. Plunge in for your first snorkel. Explore tide pools and look for fur seals sheltered in quiet grottos of black basalt at Puerto Egas, where you see evidence of an old salt mine and other human history. Swim and snorkel from the beach frequented by sea lions and marine iguanas. (B/L/D)

  • Day 4Tagus Cove, Isabela / Punta Espinoza, FernandinaMonday, Oct 26, 2026

Land in the footsteps of Darwin and Melville at historic Tagus Cove, once the haunt of whalers and pirates. Opt to hike inland along the crater rim for views of Darwin's Lake. Kayak, paddleboard and snorkel in the cove. In the remote western archipelago, hike over impressive lava past tide pools where marine iguanas gather in piles, young sea lions play and the strange flightless cormorant nests. Fernandina is the youngest, and most pristine island in Galápagos. (B/L/D)

  • Day 5Punta Vicente Roca / Urbina Bay, IsabelaTuesday, Oct 27, 2026

Cross the Equator at Volcán Ecuador, northernmost of Isabela’s six great shield volcanoes. Snorkel and Zodiac along the wildly eroded coast, where we might see green turtles, fur seals and even penguins. The waters here in the west are rich. Hike through the dry forest along the uplifted coastline at Urbina Bay, where you search of land iguanas and giant tortoises sometimes are sighted. Return to swim from the inviting black sand beach. (B/L/D)

  • Day 6Bartolomé / Daphne Major / Playa Las Bachas, Santa CruzWednesday, Oct 28, 2026

Climb the steps to the summit of this 300-foot volcanic wonderland for stunning views. Explore, swim and snorkel from the beach. Join fellow Olivians on deck as the captain circumnavigates Daphne Major, the small volcanic island where Peter and Rosemary Grant have conducted ground-breaking research by Natural Selection among Darwin’s finches for decades. (B/L/D)

  • Day 7Darwin Bay / Prince Philip's Steps, GenovesaThursday, Oct 29, 2026

Sail north across the Equator to the remote northern realm of the Galápagos, bathed in warmer tropical waters and home to the red-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, swallow-tailed gulls, great frigates birds and other nesting seabirds. Kayak, paddleboard, snorkel, and cruise along the caldera walls in search of wildlife. Later, climb Prince Phillip’s Steps for a walk among colonies of nesting seabirds to a field of broken lava, where an astounding number of storm petrels nest. (B/L/D)

  • Day 8Puerto Ayora / Punta Carrion, Santa CruzFriday, Oct 30, 2026

Puerto Ayora, the largest town and headquarters of both the Galápagos National Park and Charles Darwin Research Station. Tour the giant tortoise breeding corrals. Head to the lush, green highlands to see giant tortoises roaming in the wild. Explore this sheltered cove in Punya Carrion, frequented by Galápagos rays and sharks, by Zodiac. (B/L/D)
